ON THE OCCASION OF THE DEATH OF THE KING OF THE ROMA TRUMPET MUSIC AND AMBASSADOR OF ROMA NATION

World Roma Organization and Peace Ambassador Jovan Damjanovic declare deep condolences over the death of our great Fejada Sejdic and share the pain and sorrow with his family.
We lost a great man and doyen of trumpet music which was important not only for the Roma culture but for the whole world of music and art.

Fejat Sejdic has developed his own distinctive style, which puthim in place of one of the best and most representative representatives of Roma brass bands, in favor is sayingt that this virtuoso conqueror of all Award, as First Trumpet, the Golden Trumpet, Best orchestra, twice received the October award of Bojnik, many praise from domestic and international festivals, famous plaque Yugoslavia.

The World Roma Organization awarded him a gold medal as a great artist for contributing to expansion and promotion of Roma culture and tradition.

He played with the most famous musicians, and the sounds of his trumpet blew the soul to the well-known statesmen as Josip Broz Tito, Charles De Gaulle, Prince Tomislav Karadjordjevic, president Zoran Djindjic, Milo Djukanovic, Orson Welles, Willy Brandt, Leonid Brezhnev, Salvador Dali, Ayrton Sena, Great actor Richard Barton who especially loved our country, the English Queen Elizabeth II.

The most famous composers have worked on arrangements and compositions for him and among them Rade Vuckovic Niski, which has written one of the most famous song '' Fejat Dirlada '' or as popularly known '' Play Play Fejade ''.

The sound of your trumpet will remain forever remembered in Roma and world music, and will live in our hearts.

Press release regarding August 2, the day of the genocide against Roma

On the occasion of August 2, the day of the genocide against Roma, the president of the World Roma Organization and the Ambassador of Peace, Jovan Damjanovic, said:

"Unlike other mass deaths in the 20th century, what happened to Roma in Europe during the Second World War has not yet found a unique name. This fact is enough to illustrate the very foggy picture that we have today about the mass and systematic killing of Roma.

In the mid-nineties of the last century, the extermination of Roma was first named.
Roma linguist and activist Ian Henkok introduced the word Porajmos (destruction) to denote the national socialist politics of extermination of Roma and Sinti in the Second World War.

In Serbia, the term Porajmos is almost not used for the massive suffering of Roma and Sinti in the Second World War, but it is only mentioned sometimes.

2. August is taken as the day of genocide against the Roma, when Gestapo commander Heinrich Himmler ordered that all Roma from the Third Reich be deported to the death camp of Auschwitz-Birkenau.

The gas chambers, persecutions, executions without evidence, prisons, ghettos, banned zones and experimental scalpels of doctors from Auschwitz, Dachau and Buchenwald and other torture chambers have killed the lives of 3,500,000 Roma.

In one word, the Roma passed through Dante's circle of hell from Vitos via Jasi to Auschwitz and Jasenovac.

The exact number of executed Roma and Cynthia is not known, because living on the margins of European societies, they did not even enter official statistics. It is assumed that the number of their victims is greater than 3.5 million.

President and Ambassador of Peace, Jovan Damjanovic, appointed by Serbian Royal Academy of Scientists and Artists (SKANU) for Academician and member of the Serbian Royal Academy of Scientists and Artists!

In Belgrade, June 28, 2017. , In a very dignified way, as the Serbian Royal Academy of Scientists and Artists is, it is marked , as the traditional manifestation, Vidovdan, the day of the Academy.

The solemn manifestation was held at the Center for Fine Arts - "Jovan Kolundzija", and besides the members of the Academy, many of the guests, Belgrade citizens, representatives of city authorities, cultural and scientific workers attended it.

During the solemn ceremony, Prof. dr Sreto Noga i Prof. dr Mirko Kerkez aearded the Plaque to Jovan Damjanovic, the President of the World Roma Organization and the Ambassador of Peace, who was appointed Academician and regular member of Serbian Royal Academy of Scientists and Artists SKANU, for his cultural and political activities and contributions in promoting human rights and equality as well as his dedication, As the Peace Ambassador to the United Nations, in promoting reconciliation, overcoming barriers and building peace, educating young people, and restoring family life and family as the basic cell and pillar of society.

Congress of the World Roma Federation named "Together for the Roma in Europe until 2020"

At the invitation of the President of the World Roma Federation , Jamie Sztojke, the President of the World Roma Organization, Jovan Damjanovic, attended the Congress of the World Federation of Roma under the name "Together for the Roma in Europe until 2020", which was held from 18-20 June 2017. In Budapest, Hungary.

The President and Ambassador of Peace, Jovan Damjanovic, addressed the audience and spoke about:
1. Necessity of connecting Roma Europe and America
2. Economic issues of Roma
3. Roma education
4. The need to form a European party that will represent the interests of Roma in Europe
5. Dissemination and respect for human rights of national minorities
