Miroslav V. Horvath, born in a Roma family on February 4, 1980, in Uzhgorod, Transcarpathian region of Ukraine. Due to the family circumstances, I was raised in the family of my grandfather and grandmother on my mother's line.
In 1995 I graduated from the 9th form of the Uzhgorod secondary school # 7 of the I-III stages, with the Ukrainian language as the study means.
In 1995 I began my studies at the vocational school #19, the Uzhgorod city; there I learned the car mechanic profession for three years. In addition, I took the regional professional drivers courses.
I was going in for sport, especially football. I was training in a Youth Sports School team and took part in the football championship for the cup of Ukraine (the Western Region). During the studies at the secondary school and the vocational school, I was engaged in active community service; I repeatedly was the captain of football teams at different levels.
In the summer of 2000, I was elected Chairman of the Transcarpathian public youth organization Romani cherhen (Roma star). Since that time, I have actively been engaged in the social work among the local Roma youth. I have been paying considerable attention to educational work, organized soccer sport tournaments and more.
In December 2002, I was admitted to the Faculty of Law, Interregional Academy of Personnel Management, the study by correspondence Department. In 2007, I received a graduate degree for the "Law" studies and was granted the qualification of the Bachelor of Law.
In 2006-2009, as the Romani cherhen NGO chairman, I actively engaged in public and international volunteer activities as European volunteer programs' coordinator in Ukraine. I have taken part in various programs and projects-competitions of international funds.
Since September 2009, I have been working at the Transcarpathian Regional State TISA-1 TV and Radio Company as a leading producer at the Editorial Office for the national minorities language programs, the Romano dzhivipen program.
Since September 2011, I was appointed as adviser on Roma to the head of Transcarpathian Regional State Administration.
In December 2011, I received a second higher education in Politology at the Uzhgorod National University.
Married with two children.
