PRESS RELEASE ON THE OCCASION OF PARTICIPATION OF JOVAN DAMJANOVIC AT THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE IN VIENNA

At the invitation of the Universal Peace and Partnership Organization, the President of the World Roma Organization, Jovan Damjanovic, attended the Universal Peace Conference under the name "Perspectives of a Sustainable Peace in Europe - the vision of the United Nations, the role of deputies and civil society, with a special focus on exploring the role that parliamentarians in cooperation with civil society, is able to play in securing peace for Europe and the wider neighborhood ", which was held on September 15, 2017. in Vienna, Austria.

The President and Ambassador of Peace, Jovan Damjanovic, addressed the audience and spoke about:

1. Peace, freedom and an inclusive society in the modern world
2. Civil society and democracy
3. Roma civil society

In his further addressing to the present, the President and Ambassador of Peace, Jovan Damjanovic, referred to the necessity of joint action and cooperation between parliamentarians and the target society in order to represent the interests of members of the Roma community on a global level.

During the conference, the project "International Association of Peace Representatives" was launched, which was opened last year for Europe during the events in the British "House of Parliament" in London.

The conference was attended by parliamentarians from Italy, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Croatia and Serbia, as well as parliamentarians from all political parties represented in the Austrian parliament.
